Ted Weller
Ted Weller is the Owner and Master Tennis Professional at Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club, where he combines a lifelong passion for tennis with a commitment to helping players of all ages and abilities reach their potential.
Having picked up a racquet at the age of seven, Ted has dedicated his life to the sport and continues to be a passionate student of the game. His love for tennis ultimately led him to purchase Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club, creating an environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the lifelong benefits of the sport.
Ted believes that tennis does not have to take years to master. Through proper technique, attention to detail, and purposeful instruction, he helps students achieve success more quickly and efficiently. His coaching philosophy focuses on the small, often overlooked details that can make a significant difference in a player’s development and performance.
As a highly competitive player who still enjoys competing at a high level, Ted brings a unique advantage to his instruction. Rather than simply explaining proper technique, he can demonstrate it firsthand, giving students a clear visual understanding of what successful execution looks like. This ability to both teach and perform allows him to connect with players in a meaningful way and reinforces his belief that consistent improvement comes from mastering the critical 1% details.
Ted’s enthusiasm, knowledge, and dedication to the game continue to inspire players throughout the Pleasant Valley community, making him a respected coach, mentor, and leader both on and off the court.
